Editioning

Having printed for some of the worlds finest artist whilst at Thumbprint Editions including Antony Gormley, Cornelia Parker  and Andrea Büttner, under master printer Pete Kosowicz www.thumbprinteditions.com. I am now happy to offer artists my services as a print editioner based in Bristol. Artists with an ongoing practice in fine art can work with me in my studio at the Island Art Space on etching, Screen and relief print.

Alternatively I am also a member of the editions sub-committee at Spike Print Studio and artist wishing to work on larger scale original print can apply to the sub committee here to create their editions with my self and a range of printers.

Workshops

The Complete Printmaker: An excellent course for beginners to improvers. A studio course which will guide artists through a range of processes including, intaglio, relief printing, and screen printing. Learn how to create original print with a range of techniques and equip your practice with excellent printmaking skills for home and studio. This course is specified to one artist per placement, and can run for a number of weeks until you are happy to move forwards with your own printmaking.

Intaglio Printmaking: Learn etching, drypoint, and collagraph printmaking techniques. Using a studio etching press you will be guided through single and multi-plate etching processes, including a range of inking methods, paper treatment and print editioning.

Relief  Printing Workshops:  Courses for all abilities on a variety of  relief printing methods, including woodcut, Lino cut,  colour reduction printing and multi block printing. These courses include printing methods with and without a press. Making sure that printing can continue whatever your studio set up is.

Screen Printing Workshops: I offer a complete course in multicoloured screen print on paper and also basic printing onto textiles. The studio explores the full photographic screen printing process from drawing to having  final edition of prints. The workshop is entirely water based and also demonstrated the scientific nature of photo sensitive emulsion used for printing.  With a mobile capability the workshop is ideal for schools, young people or based in the studio for artists wishing to extend there knowledge and skills.

 Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop is an extensive tool for printmakers and artists. Learn how to create images which can be separated and prepared for printing and the use of combined imagery to create high quality digital art work. This course is for beginners to intermediate, learners will need there own computer with photoshop installed.

Visiting Lectures: I am also available for visiting lectures on contemporary printmaking practices and my own print practice, these can be accompanied with demonstrations.
